Give us two hours, and we’ll introduce you to the fundamental cooking techniques that will make your time in the kitchen easier, more efficient and more enjoyable. Led by an expert member of the Kitchen Window staff, this seminar will give you the skills and the confidence to become a better cook. You’ll learn how to choose the right equipment for a recipe, as well as how to use that equipment to achieve the best results. We’ll show you the impact of staging those perfect ingredients and how to get the most flavor out of them. We’ll demonstrate various culinary techniques including frying, searing, sautéing, caramelizing, deglazing and braising, and discuss when to use (and when not to use) each technique. Throughout the seminar, we’ll prepare samples for you to share so that you may taste for yourselves the difference a few basic skills can make. Samples to include PEPPERCORN CRUSTED PAN SEARED STEAK, succulent ITALIAN BRAISED SHORT RIBS, and MUSHROOM HERB RISOTTO.
